The National League Cy Young Award, given annually since 1956 to the league’s best pitcher, has often been a stepping stone to Cooperstown. Legendary winners like Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, Tom Seaver, Steve Carlton, and Greg Maddux not only dominated their eras but also secured Hall of Fame enshrinement. While not every Cy Young recipient reaches the Hall — some shine brightly for a short time — many have used the award to cement legacies as all-time greats on the mound.
