The 50 Home Run Club is an elite group of batters who’ve hit at least 50 home runs in a single season. Currently, only 30 players have reached this milestone, 9 are currently members of the Hall of Fame. Four of the signers here are members of the Hall of Fame and played primarily in the 1950’s-1960’s: Mickey Mantle (52 in 1956; 54 in 1961), Willie Mays (51 in 1955; 52 in 1965), Johnny Mize (51 in 1947) and Ralph Kiner (51 in 1947; 54 in 1949).
